The cool thing about having photographers as friends is the opportunity to shoot an awesome band like Stellar Kart. Lesson: share and network.
I believe sharing information is a great thing. However some people believe withholding information keep themselves more competitive or ahead of the game. I’m thankful to all the photographers on the web who have posted their thoughts, experiences, business tips, and photos of their gear, trips, and lighting setups for all to share with the photography community. Sites like Creative Live and FStoppers are just a few of the great resources that have helped me out as a growing photographer. I’m also grateful to my friends who are photographers whom I can locally or on the web talk about photography.
I got to tag along with my friend Eryn who was the lead photographer during Stellar Kart’s concert in Long Beach, CA last December at the Tsunami: Love Does 2010 Conference. I had a blast shooting with you Eryn!

Sometimes color can distract us from the emotion in the photo. I’m happy with how these B&W photos came out.
