Irene has come and gone. Thank God she didn’t hit hard as previously predicted. Everyone stayed indoors safe and sound, except for me.
I went out for a while Saturday morning to check out the storm. The wind felt really great. I felt that I was back in San Francisco again. Here’s a short video of my area.

Of course with every hurricane there must be a post-hurricane party. Carolina beach was a perfect place to have it.
All is good here in the southern beaches of North Carolina.
Glad that the hurricane wasn’t as bad as predicted. It’s not every week you get an earthquake and a hurricane.
