Creativity and inspiration. Where does it come from? How do we get it? How can we use it to influence our work?

Those were questions that were answered and more at Jeremy Cowart’s Lifefinder tour last December in Atlanta, GA. Jeremy Cowart is a celebrity photographer, but more importantly a inspiration to me and many other photographers. Sure’s taken photos of Tim Tebow, been on tour with Brittney Spears, and has been recognized by the United Nations for his work overseas, but that’s not why he’s cool in my book.

Jeremy Cowart started Help-Portrait with some local photographers to give an opportunity for those in his community to have their photo taken. It is now an international movement of giving back to the community with not only with photos, but with food, clothing, and other needed supplies. This project has been going on since 2009 and has no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Walking away from this event my mind was filled with projects and ideas I wanted to do. I also walked away with new friends whom I talked with about our inspirations, our dreams, and our goals. It’s funny how we think we’re all alone, but if we take a chance to reach out we can find out that there are others like us – wanting to work together, wanting to share, and wanting to grow.

Thank you Jeremy for sharing your inspirations, your passions, and for teaching us the importance of giving back.

Hasta la vista.
